With a capacity of 30,000 seats, BayArena, originally known as Ulrich-Haberland Stadion, has been Bayer Leverkusen's home ground since its inauguration in 1958. The stadium underwent expansion to accommodate the team's promotion to the Bundesliga in 1979.
Apart from Bayer Leverkusen's home matches, BayArena was selected as one of nine stadiums to host several games during the 2011 Women’s World Cup, staging three group matches and one quarter-final.
Situated in central Leverkusen, where the A3 and A1 motorways intersect, reaching BayArena is relatively straightforward. The most direct routes are via the A3, taking exit 24 Leverkusen, or using exit 22 Leverkusen-Opladen. Both routes provide convenient access to the stadium.
